With the intention to promote the idea of life-long learning and to further encourage the study of Chinese(Mandarin), IATCSOL has formed team of lecturers commissioned to develop a fair and reliable language testing system, called the International Chinese Proficiency Test (ICPT) for all Chinese learners at all levels of proficiency.
 
ICPT is administered in six (6) levels and include listening, reading, writing, and speaking components. Special funding has been sought to undertake this project and we look forward to launching it in 2010.
