Teachers in English schools have been given awards for excellence in Chinese teaching and learning by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT).

Eight Confucius Institute Excellence Awards were presented at the SSATs ninth annual China Conference, which took place at The Royal Society and The British Museum in London from 2-3 July 2010.

The SSAT Confucius Institute Excellence Awards aim to give professional recognition to individuals for their service to the teaching and learning of Chinese and China studies. The awards are given following a process of nominations, which were considered by the SSAT Confucius Institute Head teachers Steering Group. The SSAT would like to congratulate all of the award winners.
