IATCSOL has designed five(5) types of certifications based on different programs and levels. They are awarded upon fully completion of our programs with the requirements of written tests and teaching demonstrations. The three cerfications are:
2. Certificate in Teaching Chinese for Business Purposes (TCBP)
3. Certificate in Teaching Chinese to Young Learners (TCYL)
The Standards of TCSOL Certified Teachers provides a detailed picture of accomplished Chinese Language/Literacy teaching. The Standards have been developed by the TCSOL Standards Council led by professors from appointed universities and is supported by The Chinese Language Education Association (CLEA) in Taiwan.
Guidelines on Standards of TCSOL Certified Teachers are provided to all TCSOL approved training centers. Non-members interested in reading this material are advised to contact us directly.
The standards are based on two principles:
• professional standards only have validity when grounded in teachers own knowledge, experience, skills and values;
• teachers knowledge, experience, skills and values are, in important respects, discipline-specific. For example, the depth of knowledge and the range of skills an Chinese or Literacy teacher needs in order to teach well are different from the knowledge and skills required to teach Physics or Physical Education.
Education Development International (EDI) UK
EDI is an accredited Awarding Body and leading international education company with a wide range of products and services including vocational and professional qualifications both within the UK and internationally through LCCI, Goal online assessments for schools, approved training programmes for employers, an electronic assessment delivery system, electronic portfolio package and specialist business broadband service.
EDI Accreditation & Recognition
EDI works in collaboration with industry, governments, universities and professional bodies around the world to ensure its qualifications and assessments are accredited, recognised and relevant.

• Department for Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills in Wales (DELLS)
• Council for the Curriculum Examinations and Assessment in Northern Ireland (CCEA)
• Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA)
EDI Approved Centres
EDI (Education Development International) is a National Awarding body in UK which accredits centres to offer EDI Endorsed Qualifications. EDI is recognised and regulated by QCA, WAG and CCEA to provide Qualifications for the National Qualifications Framework.
The Chinese Language Education (CLEA) Taiwan through IATCSOL is an EDI approved centre. CLEA is licensed by EDI to provide accredited qualifications. This is a level 4 Qualification with learning outcomes accredited by EDI at a level equivalent to the UK national level 4.
The Vocational Education & Training Council (VETC)
The Vocational Education & Training Council (VETC) is one of the largest vocational education, training and assessment agencies known. VETC provides valuable credentials for over 5000 students each year through a full range of pre-employment and in-service programs with internationally recognised qualifications.
VETC follows an International Vocational Qualification (IVQ) framework that is parallel and comparable to international standards. Industry partners can continue to adapt our standards in defining skills and levels based on various occupational needs. Learners use our framework in helping them to realize their areas of skills that need improving to be competitive in the global knowledge of economy.
VETC grants Vocational Education Units (VEU) equivalent to Continuing Education Units (CEU) that is acceptable and transferable to university credits. A number of universities accept VEU leading to Bachelor and Master degree courses.
The Chinese Language Education Association, Taiwan. (CLEA)
CLEA is a teachers training association registered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs under the law of Taiwan (ROC). Teachers receive Certificate of Attendance upon completion of TCSOL training courses conducted by the association.
Cambridge Academy of Management, UK. (CAOM)
The Cambridge Academy of Management is a professional and autonomous not-for-profit institution established in Cambridge-UK, which has been founded to promote state-of-the-art knowledge and expertise in all facets of management education, training and development for the global educational arena. The Governing Council and the senior staff involved in the overall planning and operation of the institution comprise of both academics from various universities and industry experts with years of both consulting and entrepreneurial experiences. Cambridge Academy of Management is registered with the United Kingdom Register of Learning Providers. UKPRN Provider Reference Number: 10021806. CAOM is listed in the 38th Edition of the British Qualifications. It is also officially accredited by the Quality Assurance Commission, UK.
European Academy of Informatization, Europe. (EAI)
The European Academy of Informatization (EAI) was established by Royal Decree. Belgium, September, 1999. EAI is a cooperative organization of The International Informatization Academy (IIA) in a General Consultative State with ECOSOC of the UN to suggest a Global Education System (GES). IATCSOL has signed an agreement with EAI to seek supports for TCSOL system to be recognized in Europe under the Global Education System.
IATCSOL has also built close working relationship with the following universities in organizing Teachers Training Workshops in the region:

Perhaps more than any other profession, teachers appreciate the value of awards for outstanding merit by their students. It is time that teachers themselves are rewarded for their dedication, skills and integrity.
With the sole intention of recognizing our outstanding lecuturers and teaching staff on the contributions, a highly-respected Service Award (TCSOL OutstandingTeaching Award) has been created in recognition of the professionalism and skills of our faulty. They shall meet the following criteria:
1. He or she is a respected member of the profession who has contributed substantially to the advancement of the profession.
2. To be eligible for consideration an Outstanding Professional Services Award the individual nominated should have:
- processed professional development through presentations, publication, research or policy development under the auspices of IATCSOL,
- performed and achieved high leadership or management in the development of TCSOLs education,
- made an outstanding contribution to the associations support of teachers and education in over an extended period of time.
The Department of Qualification Support (DQS) maintains comprehensive details of all TCSOL graduates. These include certification numbers, passing grades, course content, training duration and details of result slips.
